Hope in the Evidence

“Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.” - Hebrews 11:1 (NKJV)

After reading this verse, I can’t help but think about the world we live in today (the U.S. in particular), and how the thought processes developed over the last century have twisted and corrupted the truth of God’s existence, especially in the realm of science.  Because evolution, the idea that this universe came in to existence by chance over billions of years, has been taught in schools and universities as fact, and that science and “religion” have nothing to do with each other.  However, when evaluating the supposed evidence that evolutionists present as fact, and then compare it with what is actually observe to be happening today, we see an overwhelming amount of valid evidence for our Creator God.  The latter part of Hebrews 11:1 stuck out to me, “Faith is…the evidence of things not seen,” because nature screams this!  One only has to look at the human cell: the nucleus of the cell itself contains so much organized genetic information and DNA coding that it took the world’s largest super computer years to completely track the human genome.  And if the complexity of something that small isn’t evidence enough for the all-knowing Designer, we can then turn our attention to our own local solar system.  Astronomers have yet to be able to number the amount of stars just in our solar system, and of the relatively few they have numbered, no two have been alike.  Then looking at an analysis of the components conditions that are required for an individual star to function, it also reveals a complexity that rivals that of a cell!!  Psalms 19:1 says it correctly, “The heavens declare the glory of God; and the firmament shows His handiwork.”

Putting it in that perspective, takes more faith for me to not believe than to believe.
